Participate in small-group discussions and learn how to effectively engage with other members of the healthcare team. Previous nurse residency projects have successfully changed practices at Beebe Healthcare, resulting in better patient outcomes and greater patient satisfaction.
The program’s curriculum instills confidence and understanding in new nurses, preparing them to become nurse leaders on their patient care units, clinical decision-makers, and patient advocates.
Participate in an ANCC-accredited nurse residency program that meets rigorous criteria. Apply what you learned in school in real-world situations, developing professional nursing competency and confidence as a leader.
Beebe Healthcare’s Graduate Nurse Residency Program utilizes an evidence-based curriculum as the foundation for the Transition to Practice program, supporting collaborative learning among new graduate nurses.
Residents work alongside an experienced nurse preceptor along with the support of their unit-based clinical educator, and the Residency Program Directors. Since graduate nurses are hired in a cohort, they are supported by peers throughout the entire 12-month program.
At the end of the 12-month program and following completion of the EBP or QI project, Nurse Residents are promoted to a Clinical Nurse II position at Beebe Healthcare. Opportunities to pursue the Clinical Ladder as a Clinical Nurse III or IV are available following year two. This seamless transition promotes continuous professional development in professional nursing.
