The Little Clinic offers Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Physician Assistant (PA) student-required clinical experience opportunities. These FNP and PA clinical experiences are associated with schools through which The Little Clinic holds student affiliation agreements. There are a limited number of openings for nursing students from each school, and all arrangements for student clinical experiences are coordinated through the school’s clinical director.
The Little Clinic’s Preceptor Program is designed to offer student nurses a variety of clinical experiences within a retail health setting. Students will be able to care for a diverse subset of patients using a multidisciplinary team approach.
Students receive hands-on experience from one of our skilled preceptors, an experienced healthcare provider who’s eager to mentor new students.
Students care for a variety of patients across different age groups through preventative care, acute care, chronic care and much more.
Students receive additional education on value-based care, clinical trials and Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) programs.
Students learn how to complete electronic medical records via a live EMR documentation experience.
Students experience The Little Clinic scope of service, driven by evidence-based practice and individualized service for our patients.
Students have the ability to create a flexible schedule based on their unique needs, since The Little Clinic is open 7 days a week.
