Hugh Chatham Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join our growing team as Core Faculty within the Hugh Chatham Health, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. This role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of rural family physicians while practicing in a supportive, community-centered health system.
This position includes a blend of clinical outpatient care, resident teaching and supervision, and the option for hybrid inpatient/outpatient responsibilities or Family Medicine with Obstetrics, depending on candidate preference and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
Provide high-quality patient care within the Hugh Chatham Health Family Medicine Residency
Hybrid inpatient/outpatient patient care and teaching.
Supervise residents in clinical encounters, procedures, and hospital rotations (if applicable).
Residency Education & Faculty Duties
Serve as Core Teaching Faculty for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
Lead and participate in didactic sessions, precepting, curriculum development, and scholarly activities.
Provide mentorship and evaluation for residents in accordance with ACGME requirements.
Engage in continuous quality improvement and support residency leadership initiatives.
Participate in faculty meetings, committees, recruitment activities, and program development.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Passion for teaching and mentoring residents.
Commitment to community-based, full-spectrum family medicine.
OB or inpatient skills welcomed but not required.
