Mobile Health
Our mobile health program provides health care to those who have difficulty accessing healthcare in other ways. Supervised by our faculty, residents rotate through mobile health prenatal and family medicine clinics in a longitudinal fashion throughout residency. Mobile Health website
Sideline Coverage in Sports
In partnership with our Sports Medicine Fellows and Faculty, residents are able to volunteer to provide sideline coverage at many school sporting events around the city.
TFAP
The Tucson Family Advocacy Program (TFAP) is a partnership of health care providers and lawyers working together to improve the health and wellbeing of low-income patients and their families. TFAP website
Through collaboration with TFAP, our residents have been able to help many refugees obtain citizenship, families secure better housing, and help patients with advanced care planning in a compassionate, safe, and thorough manner.

The overall objective of the University of Arizona Family Medicine Residency is to allow you to achieve your overall educational goals, so that how you choose to practice in the future is shaped by your personal choice and enhanced by the experiences you had in residency.
During the three-year residency, residents assume increasing responsibility for patient care and administrative tasks. Each clinical year includes a mixture of outpatient and inpatient care, with a core-block in each year that allows you to come together with your class and focus on some fundamental topics that are not easily captured in a standard rotation.
We make sure to meet the standards of the Residency Review Committee (RRC) for Family Medicine of the American Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
