The fellowship in cardiovascular disease is a 36-month, community hospital-based training program designed to provide clinically rigorous training in general cardiology. Training in all aspects of acute and chronic cardiovascular disease is conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including a dedicated heart and vascular institute. Diverse curricular offerings in cardiovascular subspecialties provide trainees with extensive exposure to both invasive and non-invasive procedures. Comprehensive didactic programming both supplements and complements the clinical curriculum.

Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit, MI Henry Ford Hospital is the rotation site for the congestive heart failure rotation. The program has recently upgraded the fellow library as well as provided a private call suite for fellow to use at any time, including those uncommon times that a fellow is called in at night and would like to stay. |
The Cardiovascular Disease fellowship includes clinical rotations in a variety of cardiology areas. The intent of this program is to individualize training within the framework of ABIM, COCATS and ACGME guidelines to optimize each fellow’s ability to achieve excellence in cardiology. Rotations are flexible and may be tailored to your goals and interests for future general cardiology practice or advanced training in interventional, electrophysiology or heart failure/transplant.
